Hawaii Deck Builders is Oahu's preferred deck and railing installer.

Hawaii Deck Builders is a division of Hilweh Builders LLC, a licensed general contractor in the State of Hawaii. Our focus is on decks, railings, stairs, pergolas, gazebos and outdoor spaces. We are a Certified Installer of Trex, TimberTech, Fiberon, and Feeney. Our company focuses on carpentry based projects that require expertise in substructure and finished details. We service Oahu primarily in the Greater Honolulu Area and Windward Side of the island.

Our Story

Founded by Chad and Liana Hilweh, Hawaii Deck Builders is built on the love for construction and being outdoors.

Chad Hilweh grew up in Kaaawa, surrounded by the beauty of the Windward Side of Oahu. After graduating from a small private school in Kaneohe, he built a life rooted in family, community, and craftsmanship. Chad spent years working for a local general contractor before starting his own company, Hilweh Builders LLC, in 2019. Hilweh Builders quickly earned a reputation for quality residential remodeling. In 2024, Chad and Liana launched Hawaii Deck Builders, combining their love for the outdoors with their passion for creating spaces where families can enjoy Hawaii’s natural beauty. Liana Hilweh, a CPA with years of experience helping local businesses, keeps the operation running smoothly. From estimates and scheduling to marketing and finances, she brings Chad’s vision to life while managing the business side of things. Together, Chad and Liana are building more than just homes and decks—they’re building a business rooted in trust and community.
